Frequently Asked Questions

How does this online programme work?

The program is delivered 100% online through a user-friendly app. You'll receive customised training programs, video demonstrations, and can connect with coaches directly through the app from anywhere with an internet connection.

Do I need gym access for this programme?

While we highly recommend gym access for optimal results, we provide home-based variations for all exercises. For the home-based option, you'll need some basic equipment: space, a TRX cable, some resistance bands, and a handful of dumbbells or kettlebells. The more equipment you have, the better, but this is the bare minimum required.

How much time will I need to commit each week?

For maximum results, you'll need up to 4 hours per week. If the surf is good, you can get away with 2 hours. If you're busy, you can maintain a baseline with about 2-3 hours per week. This includes 2 strength and power training sessions (45-60 minutes each) plus specific conditioning workouts (typically 20-30 minutes, never more than 45 minutes).

Is this programme suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! The programme is suitable for any level of surfer and any level of gym competency. We have programmes ready and waiting for all levels. Everything is customised based on your initial assessment and questionnaire responses.

How does the app-based training work?

After your assessment, you'll receive access to our training app where your customised program will be loaded. The app includes exercise demonstrations, tracking features, and progression guidance for both your strength/power sessions and conditioning workouts. All communications with coaches will also take place through the app for streamlined delivery.

What happens once I've paid?

Once you've signed up, you'll immediately receive your assessment questionnaire via email (please check your spam/junk folder). After completing that, we'll be in contact with next steps, including baseline testing instructions, and you'll be added to the app

What if I have an existing injury?

We can work around chronic and acute injuries and provide modifications as needed. However, this programme is not suitable for those with spinal or brain injuries, or if your healthcare provider has recommended you are not fit for training. Please consult with a healthcare professional before starting if you have serious concerns.

When can I start?

You can start immediately! Once you sign up and complete your assessment, you'll be matched with your personalised programme and gain access to the app within 24 hours. There are no fixed cohort start dates or waiting periods.

However, to maintain the highest quality of coaching and support for our athletes, we do limit the number of active participants. If enrolment is currently open, you can join straight away, but doors may close once we reach capacity to ensure every client receives the attention they deserve.

How is this different from other online programmes?

Do you support international surfers?

Yes, we currently have athletes from all over the world such as New Zealand, Australia, America, South Africa, and Europe. Our payment system supports money from all these locations.

Can I exit the programme early or get a refund?

You can choose to stop participating in the programme at any time. However, if you have opted for the 3-instalment payment plan, you are committed to paying all three instalments and completing the entirety of the programme. Refunds will only be considered under extenuating circumstances, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
